BezGluten Gluten-Free Paprika Crisps
Written by markjohn. Tuesday, July 31st, 2012
Being a life-long fan of crisps, if only a part-time fan of paprika, I was keen to try out these gluten-free paprika crisps from Bezgluten, despite the uninspiring packaging - Bezgluten are a Polish company so a lot of their packaging is less “shiny” than many UK consumers would expect.
The first thing that struck me was the texture – very similar to quavers, which is no surprise given they’re both potato-based snacks. It was therefore very familiar to me, all too often gluten-free products are let down by their unusual texture, but this was familiar – and delicious.
The taste is subtle at first – there’s no immediate “WOW” factor that you get with many modern crisps, it’s more of a subtle build up of layers of flavour, which is both deeply satisfying and unique.
All in all, I would definitely recommend these crisps to anyone, regardless of food allergies.
