Rather upsetting

I decided to pop into the town centre yesterday afternoon to pick up a few items I hadn’t been able to get from my online grocery shopping. I was upset and annoyed to see that the stores weren’t able to cater for my needs. I firstly went into a well known whole foods shop excited at the prospect of my almond milk and gluten free porridge only to find that they didn’t have either. I just couldn’t believe it. It didn’t help that I was escorted to the area by the store assistant who said “here is the area for that medical purpose.”
Hmmmm I thought….. but then again it is just education. People can only do and or be who they are, what they say by the knowledge that they have. So how can I, We … make these changes? Stop this taboo and shout out to the world that we, I, are all the same. I hope that one day I am able to walk into a store, restaurant etc and know that there is always something that I can eat. I know that day will come and I can’t wait for it.
